” … have faith, love, patience, and gentleness. We have to fight to keep our faith. Try as hard as you can to win that fight. Take hold of eternal life.” (1Timothy 6, 11-12)
If you truly long for God, you always get in trouble, you’ll have hard times, and a lot of wars to win. It won’t be easy. But is worth it, I believe.
An experienced warrior knows the weaknesses of the enemy. This means also the Satan knows the perfect plan and the key to conquer you. You’ll feel weak, confused, all the thoughts in your mind will drive you mad. If you read this and you’re agreeing with me, I know how it goes. For days. Or weeks. I noticed that as I want to search God’s will more and more, the Satan attacks me with insane thoughts, uncertainty, insecurity, and I can’t be really happy.
I know the Satan’s weaknesses too. He’s afraid of the Holy Word of God, the prayer and when the believers come united. These are our weapons, especially the Bible. He said: “If you continue to accept and obey my teaching, you are really my followers. You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.” (John 8, 31-32) Read it loud, read a lot, I advice you to read the stories about Jesus, what He tells us. And call upon His name, confess that He is The Son of God, Jesus Christ, The Savior, The Redeemer. These are stronger than anything. It doesen’t mean that you’ll never be attacked again or you’ll win for the first time…I said, it may take a few days or weeks, depends on what you are fighting for. But don’t be afraid, He’s by your side, He’ll never leave you alone, and He REALLY loves you!
One more thing. Stop philosophizing about useless things. Stop trying to figure it out, to solve the problems with your own thoughts and strength. Simply just trust in God, He’ll prepare you, and tell you what to do. If He speaks, it cannot be misunderstood.
“…because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.” (1 John 4:4)
